ABOUT CHARACTER

Not long before Yahweh created the first humans, there was a massive civil war in heaven. Sataniel accused that Yahweh was not the benign father they once knew. Although Heaven was nearly destroyed, Sataniel and his rebellious fellow-angels eventually lost and were thrown to Earth as punishment. Centuries passed, Hell was surprisingly populated by more human souls than demons. Castiel then dared question Yahweh's decision. If Yahweh hadn't thrown Sataniel to earth, no humans would have ended up in Hell. Yahweh was severely offended; Castiel's questioning him was tantamount to rebellion. Castiel was then hurled down to earth as well. To humiliate Castiel even more, Yahweh handed him to a human king named Solomon.

Blessed by Yahweh, Solomon had the power to capture demons. He was the first Demon Master. All demons were imprisoned in an enchanted tome called the Lemegeton to do his biddings. Castiel was also bound in there, so to speak, but as the Guardian of Lemegeton. Yahweh stated that Castiel could only return to Heaven after he helped the Demon Master capture all demons on earth. However, each time a Demon Master died, the enchanted book automatically released all demons it held. Thus, Castiel was forever condemned to repeat his duty over and over again.

In 2013, Castiel disguised himself as Casey Haven, the owner of Haven book store in London. There, he managed to find the next Demon Master: Owen Cavendish.


SUPERNATURAL REFERENCE

I added a reference to Supernatural TV series in my story when Owen realized that Casey was actually the angel Castiel.
Owen: “So, you’re the angel from Supernatural TV series?”
Castiel: “Not really. The Castiel on television is not the accurate depiction of me. I actually hate wearing trench coats and I certainly don’t talk in a husky inexpressive tone all the time.”

Previously, I wrote an unfinished M/M erotica series called Devil's Collector. In this universe, as the Angel of Thursday, Castiel was bored of granting wishes, until one day Yahweh sent him to protect a future demon vanquisher.

THE REAL CASTIEL

Against popular belief, Castiel is NOT original character from Supernatural tv series. Castiel is a "real" angel! He is listed in angel lore as the Angel of Thursday and new changes. There's not much info about the real Castiel anywhere unfortunately. He becomes famous after Supernatural tv series uses him as a character. Do not confuse Castiel with Cassiel - they are different angels.
